Unintentional Writing Hiatus

Due to a visit to an ailing relative, I had to take a break from the keyboard over the weekend. I'll be back in the saddle by tomorrow, and will hopefully be able to catch up on my word count this week. During my visit, I got to meet some humongous friendly cats at a top notch nursing home where the residents are all geting very good care by a caring staff, and...to and from...I got a lot of reading done. But, I'm really glad to be back home where it's much warmer than where I was, the toilets all work, and everyone is currently healthy!

  1. Reading? That totally counts as writing work (at least in my world). Nothing compels me to write like reading a good book.

  2. Sorry about your relative. I hope the break did you a bit of good though. Good luck getting back to normal this week.

  3. That's so true! Reading other authors definitely helps me recharge, and adds fuel to the creativity center. And, of course, we write because we love to read :)

  4. C. Farrell--Thank you. It's always hard to see someone you love decline. I'm getting back on the writing wagon tonight.

  5. I'm glad the nursing home was a good one. It's always scary to leave someone at a place you're not sure about.

I know you'll get right back on track. You always do. :)
