Exploding Head

Rough weekend for the head. On top of a sinus cold (or allergy stuff?), I had a migraine so bad, it felt like shard of glass were embedded inside my brain, and blood was leaking out of the back of my skull. A couple doses of prescription med failed to knock it out. Thankfully, sleep overnight finally did. I felt one coming on again this afternoon. I took a half Excedrin, a glass of magnesium-infused water, and forced myself to eat a potato for dinner. I don't know if it was one of those or the combo of the three, but something worked, because the pain was aborted. Needless to say...I'm a little (lot) behind on my word count! I'm still waiting for comments on Eaters: Dark Journey to come back from four beta readers. Stay tuned for the excerpt...

  1. Honestly, when I saw the title of this post, I thought you were talking about something that happened in one of your stories. LOL.

I can definitely sympathize with you about the headaches. I have migraines, although the older I get, the less frequent and less severe they are. So maybe you have something to look forward to.

I could never write anything with a headache that severe. Sometimes things just happen that hinder progress. You just have to pick it back up when you can.

  2. Ugh, I hope you're feeling better by now. I despise headaches and migraines just put me off everything for the week. Hope the beta reading goes well!

  3. I haven't had a bad migraine like that in awhile. Thankfully. Usually sleep was the only thing that worked. I'm glad you're feeling better!

  4. Thanks, guys! Finding time to write is hard enough...without my brain giving me trouble. Tonight, I'm feeling good and still bouncing around after Zumba class. Time to settle down & write a little...
